University of Delaware 2020 Piano, Digital Piano, and Violin Sale

uDELLogo

The University of Delaware has had the use of new first-class pianos on a no-cost basis for the 2019 year. This ongoing arrangement is provided through a partnership with the Rockley Family Foundation, recognized by the I.R.S. as a 501(c)(3) organization.* These instruments, as well as those provided to other institutions or otherwise made available will be sold at a substantial discount from new retail pricing to perpetuate this valuable program.

A selection of starter to professional level grands, baby grands, digital player grands, vertical (upright) pianos, digital pianos and bowed stringed instruments will be available from such famous makers as Seiler, Yamaha, Pramberger, Roland, Stravari Fine Violins, with a discrete selection of used Steinway & Sons and many others. Most instruments are less than one-year old, include a new factory warranty, are tuned, and ready to go. Delivery and special no-interest financing is available on site.

There are two ways to view and purchase:

  1. BY APPOINTMENT: You are invited to attend a special “pre-sale” on Thursday, January 16, Friday, January 17, and the morning of Saturday, January 18 along with our faculty and staff prior to the general public. This will give you an opportunity to purchase with priority in selection and price reductions. To secure a private appointment time call: (302) 824-4457
  2. You may attend the final sale day on Saturday, January 18 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM without an appointment.

This event will be held in the Louise and David Roselle Center for the Arts on Orchard Road, between Winslow Road and Kent Way, Newark. Paid parking is available in the Center for the Arts Garage. For directions please call (302) 709-6444 or visit: www.RockleyFamilyFoundation.org/UDel

In a time where creative solutions are needed to maintain a properly equipped music program, the continuation of this loan program is vital to us in our efforts to further education in the arts. We invite you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

*  If a portion of the purchase price is considered a charitable contribution to the Rockley Family Foundation, used to support the University of Delaware music program, the deductible portion would be limited to the excess of the amount paid over the fair market value at retail of the goods purchased. You should consult with your own tax advisor as to individual deductibility.
