FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sale of gently used pianos, violins, violas and cellos at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities supports the foundation’s instrument loan program
ARVADA, Colo. — October 21, 2026 — The Rockley Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports music education, will hold the Arvada Center Musical Instrument Sale Thursday, November 12 through Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the Arvada Center, 6901 Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada. The sale is open to the public, and proceeds perpetuate the foundation’s no-cost instrument loan program at the Arvada Center.
During the 2025–2026 season the Arvada Center has had the use of new first-class pianos and other musical instruments at no cost through its partnership with the foundation. Those instruments, along with others made available by the foundation, will be sold at a significant discount from new retail pricing. The selection includes grand pianos, baby grand pianos, digital player grand pianos, upright pianos, hybrid pianos, digital pianos, violins, violas and cellos, from beginner to professional level, by makers such as Steinway & Sons, Yamaha, Seiler, Roland and Italia Violins. Most instruments are less than one year old, have been tuned, and include a five- to ten-year service contract. Delivery and special no-interest financing are available on site.
“The instruments that have been on the Arvada Center’s stages and in its classrooms this season are the same ones families can take home from this sale,” said Tobin Rockley, Director/President of the Rockley Family Foundation. “Every purchase keeps the loan program going and puts quality instruments back into the arts programs that need them.”
Private appointments are available Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning, November 12–14, alongside Arvada Center faculty and staff, giving shoppers priority selection and price reductions before public shopping begins. Appointments can be reserved at rockleyfamilyfoundation.org/arvadacenter or by calling or texting 720-953-5021. Virtual appointments via Zoom are available on request. The final sale day, Saturday, November 14, is open to walk-in shoppers from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., no appointment needed.
In most cases a substantial portion of the purchase price may be considered a charitable contribution to the Rockley Family Foundation; the deductible portion would be limited to the excess of the amount paid over the fair market value at retail of the goods purchased. Buyers should consult their own tax adviser as to individual deductibility.
