FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sale of grand, upright and digital pianos used by Eastern University’s music program supports the foundation’s no-cost instrument loan program
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. — October 27, 2026 — The Rockley Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports music education, will hold the Eastern University Piano Sale Thursday, November 19 through Saturday, November 21, 2026. Because of construction on Eastern’s campus, this year’s sale will be held off campus at Cunningham Piano’s new location, 450 S. Henderson Road in King of Prussia. The sale is open to the public, and proceeds perpetuate the foundation’s no-cost instrument loan program at Eastern University.
During the 2025–2026 year the Music Program of Eastern University has had the use of new first-class pianos at no cost through its partnership with the foundation. Those instruments, instruments provided to other institutions, and instruments otherwise made available will be sold. The selection includes grand pianos, baby grands, digital player grands, vertical (upright) pianos and digital pianos from makers and product lines such as Yamaha, Bösendorfer, Estonia, Cunningham and Clavinova, along with a select group of vintage Steinway & Sons pianos. Most instruments are less than one year old, include a five- to ten-year service contract, and are tuned and ready to enjoy. Delivery and special no-interest financing are available on site.
“The pianos Eastern’s students and faculty have been playing all year are the same ones families can take home from this sale,” said Tobin Rockley, Director/President of the Rockley Family Foundation. “Every purchase keeps the loan program going and keeps first-class instruments in Eastern’s music program.”
Private appointments are available Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 19–21, alongside Eastern University faculty and staff, giving shoppers priority selection and price reductions. Appointments can be reserved at rockleyfamilyfoundation.org/Eastern or by calling or texting (610) 548-2398. Virtual appointments via Zoom are available if required. The final sale day, Saturday, November 21, is open to walk-in shoppers from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., no appointment needed.
If a portion of the purchase price is considered a charitable contribution to the Rockley Family Foundation, used to support the Eastern University music program, the deductible portion would be limited to the excess of the amount paid over the fair market value at retail of the goods purchased. Buyers should consult their own tax adviser as to individual deductibility.
